Today is Quadruple Witching Day

Today is the 3rd of Demcember,

  1. Stock index futures,
  2. Stock index options,
  3. Stock options, and
  4. Single stock futures

are set to expire. This is typically a higher volume day, and probably higher volitility too as things change hands. Good for scalpers and maybe day traders? Definitely not so good for position traders as the slippage could put you in a bad position for the short term.
